Ylämaa Gem Museum is a real treasure trove of gems and stones. The diversity of shapes, colors and structures of gemstone crystals and rocks hidden in the bedrock offers the visitor a magnificent view and introduction
Do not hesitate to step into the Ylämaa Gem Museum! You will be led into the wonderful world of minerals; among other crystals, you will see a replica collection of the world’s most famous diamonds, desert roses, sea jasper, a quarter-ton rose quartz from Madagascar, various mineral ores and over 5,000 other exciting specimens. The prehistoric fossils, corals and meteorites are also fascinating.
You will learn a lot about the most beautiful labradorite in the world, spectrolite, which can only be found in Ylämaa, a few kilometers from the Gem Museum. The museum also presents fluorescent minerals that radiate in stunning bright colors, which are an unforgettable experience.
